But in his solo career, he – like Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire – “found his voice.” Gone are the pointless Rush-length solos and chalkboard It’s a shame Knopfler found his fame by leading Dire Straits, a band given to annoying noodling and even more annoying faux-Dylan singing, both of which hadīeen the handiwork of Knopfler himself.
